The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on August 15th at our school. The event aimed to instill national pride and unity among students, staff, and parents, while honouring the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
The celebration began with floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, followed by the hoisting of the National Flag by our esteemed Chief Guest, Sri Santhosh G.R., an eloquent speaker and prolific writer. The event was presided over by Sri C.A. Ashok Shetty M., President & Chairman of Bunts’ Sangha Bengaluru. Other dignitaries, including the Treasurer Sri Ashok Shetty and Principal Smt. Usha Santosh, took the Guard of Honour. The National Anthem filled everyone with pride.
Students delivered speeches in Kannada, Hindi, and English, emphasizing the significance of the day. The 97th birth anniversary of our school’s Founder was commemorated with gratitude. Meritorious students from CBSE & ICSE streams, as well as teachers, were felicitated for their achievements.
The Chief Guest delivered an inspiring speech on the value of the National Flag and the sacrifices made to uphold its dignity. A variety of cultural programs—including patriotic songs, dance dramas, and rhythmic yoga—showcased students’ talents and love for the nation.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets, fostering a spirit of joy and unity. The event left a lasting impression on all, reminding us of our nation’s legacy and the responsibilities of freedom.
