The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at the School Quadrangle on Saturday, 15th August 2026 with great patriotic spirit. Lt. Col. Sunil Pandith of the Para Regiment was the Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest, CA Ashok Shetty M., President of Bunts’ Sangha; Sri Ashok Kumar Shetty, Treasurer; Smt. Jayashree Rai, Joint Secretary; Governing Council and Executive Council members; coordinators of various wings; and Principal Smt. Usha Santosh were warmly welcomed by the school band.
The dignitaries paid respect to the freedom fighters and hoisted the National Flag. The National Anthem and Dhwaj Geet were sung by the school choir, followed by the Guard of Honour.
Ms. Prachi of 10th CBSE formally welcomed the gathering. Ms. Sanidhya P. Shetty, a Montessori child, spoke in Kannada about the significance of Independence Day. Ms. Snigdha Acharya of Second PUC spoke about the importance of Yuva Shakti and her desire to contribute to the Viksit Bharat initiative.
The ICSE and CBSE Board examination toppers and teachers who achieved centum results were felicitated by the dignitaries. In his keynote address, the Treasurer highlighted the unforgettable role of teachers and parents in a student’s life and stressed the importance of celebrating Independence Day.
The Chief Guest was introduced by the Principal. In his address, Lt. Col. Sunil Pandith drew examples from history and encouraged students to shape the future through hard work and dedication, emphasizing that we can help define the future of the world. He was felicitated by the Management.
CA Ashok Shetty M., President of Bunts’ Sangha, spoke about the contribution of every individual in building a bright future for coming generations. He encouraged students to excel in their chosen fields and contribute to the development of the nation.
Master Ved M. of 10th ICSE proposed the Vote of Thanks. A vibrant cultural programme featuring songs and dances by various wings of the school added colour and glory to the celebration. The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets to all the students.
