Our school celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2026 at the RTB Auditorium with great enthusiasm and environmental awareness. The programme was organized for the students of Classes VIII to X from both the ICSE and CBSE streams. The event aimed to inspire students to become responsible citizens
and active participants in environmental conservation.
The Chief Guest for the programme was Mr. Vallisha Kaushik, Rotary President, renowned naturalist, wildlife photographer, and herpetologist. In his enlightening address, he emphasized the importance of protecting and restoring the environment. He spoke extensively about the challenges faced by the lakes of Bengaluru and suggested practical measures that communities can adopt to conserve and rejuvenate these vital water bodies.
Mr. Kaushik also highlighted the significance of seed collection and preservation in educational institutions. He encouraged schools to establish seed banks and actively involve students in conservation initiatives that promote biodiversity and sustainable living. His engaging and informative presentation inspired students to recognize their role in protecting nature and maintaining ecological balance.
A special highlight of the programme was the Environmental Pledge administered by the Chief Guest. Students participated enthusiastically and pledged to adopt eco-friendly practices, conserve natural resources, and contribute towards building a greener and cleaner planet.
Our respected Principal also addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of environmental conservation. She emphasized the need to protect natural resources, reduce pollution, and cultivate environmentally responsible habits in everyday life. She encouraged students to become ambassadors of change by spreading awareness about environmental protection within their homes and communities.
The celebration concluded on a positive note, leaving the students motivated and empowered to take meaningful steps towards safeguarding the environment. The programme served as a valuable learning experience and reinforced the importance of collective action in building a sustainable future.
