Bunts’ Sangha RNS Vidyaniketan was chosen as the privileged institution to host the Zone 5 Creative Writing Competition.
The event was conducted on 20th June 2025 , Saturday at the Bunts’ Sangha seminar hall. The creative competition witnessed an overwhelming response, with thirty schools across zone 5 registering for the acclaimed event.
The number of students participating in the junior category were fifteen and twelve for the sub-junior category.
The illustrious event commenced with a prayer in the form of a melodious rendition followed by a welcome note.
The event was graced by Shri. C.A Ashok Shetty, President of Bunts’ Sangha, Bangalore, Shri Vijay J Shetty Haladi, Secretary and Convenor of Bunts’ Sangha, Bangalore , and Madam Principal Smt Usha Santosh.
The dignitaries shared their words of wisdom and encouraged the enthusiastic participants to deliver their best performance.
As per the norms of the competition, the topics of the Creative Writing competition for the junior and the sub junior categories were announced thirty minutes before the scheduled writing time, whereby the participants were provided with an initial time of preparation and the duration of the writing time was for ninety minutes. The total marks for the competition were allotted as fifty marks. The participants of the junior category were required to attempt the creative writing with words not exceeding four hundred and the junior category with words not exceeding three hundred. The topic specified for the junior category was “I woke up in the year 2125” and for the sub junior category was “The day you discovered you had unique abilities”.
The competition concluded with a valedictory function wherein the results of the competition were announced. The winners were awarded with medals and certificates. The participants bagging the first position were presented with a set of books authored by William Shakespeare for the junior category and by Albert Einstein for the sub junior category in addition to the medals and certificates. All the non-winning participants were awarded with a participation certificate.
The Vote of thanks marked an end to the most exemplary Creative Writing Competition, 2025.
