International day of Drug Abuse and Illicit trafficking is celebrated on 26th June. As part of this celebration an anti-Drug Awareness Campaign was organised by Bangalore South Division Police Dept. The programme was held at seminar hall of Bunts Sangha to guide and enlighten the students of II PUC commerce about the same. Chandra Layout Police Station team had come as part of celebration. Mr.Ravish M Sub-Inspector Mr. Raveendra M Asst. Sub-Inspector along with Madam Principal Smt. Usha Santosh were the dignitaries on the dias. The police team and Principal were officially welcomed by Mr. Vinooth M S. Later the Sub-Inspector spoke about the ill-effects of drugs and the initiative to be taken by students in spreading the awareness in the society. Asst. Sub-Inspector gave a detailed statistics about drug abuse in recent times, crimes committed by youths and the importance of drug abuse in and around us. Madam Principal stressed about the essential guidance which was provide by the police dept and also spoke about the relevance of adopting drug awareness in our daily life. The programme came to an end with a march from the students displaying the message of drug awareness. The whole programme was the brain child of the Management who are always concerned about the well-being of the students.
