The Annual Sports Meet of the school was celebrated with great enthusiasm, discipline, and true sportsmanship on the school grounds. The event began with a Guard of Honour presented to the Chief Guest, Sri Sachin Vittal, and the dignitaries, including CA Ashok Shetty M, President and Chairman of Bunts’ Sangha Bengaluru, Sri Vijay J. Shetty Halady, Secretary and Convenor of Bunts’ Sangha Bengaluru; Sri Ashok Kumar Shetty, Treasurer, and Smt. Usha Santosh, Principal of BSRNS Vidyaniketan.
The programme commenced with the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest, followed by a vibrant march past by the four houses of the ICSE and CBSE wings, along with the Cubs and Bulbuls of the RNS unit. The invocation, welcome address, and release of tricolour balloons marked the formal inauguration. The ceremonial lighting of the torch by the Head Boy, Head Girl, and Sports Secretaries, followed by the student champions, symbolised energy and perseverance. The Sports Oath was administered by the Sports Secretaries of the ICSE and CBSE wings.
The Convenor, in his keynote address, highlighted the importance of physical education in shaping leadership and resilience. The Chief Guest, a professional Kabaddi player and an officer at the Bank of Baroda, delivered an inspiring speech encouraging students to strive for excellence. The Principal appreciated the collective efforts of the students and staff and emphasized the importance of balancing academics and sports.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all those who made the event a grand success. Finally, the event came to a dignified close with the March Off, marking the end of a memorable and well-organized Sports Day celebration.
